Pause, Immerse, Reset: Wellbeing Sample Session

Monday 18 January 2027, 10am – 12.30pm | Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum

Did you know that visiting art galleries provides measurable physical and mental health benefits? Recent scientific studies show that viewing original art in a gallery setting significantly lowers stress hormones.

Enhance your wellbeing, feel better and reset for 2027 here at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum. Take a well-deserved pause from the busyness of life and immerse yourself in our creative space this January, perfect for unwinding, recharging and reconnecting with yourself.

Certified practitioner, Ian Kershaw, will he guide you through a sample session designed to bring harmony and balance to your health and wellbeing. The session will begin with breathwork, leading on to gentle yoga with Jen from Serenity Yoga, and will finish with a relaxing sound bath all taking place in the beautiful surroundings of the galleries.

Relax, rebalance, feel mentally calm and physically rejuvenated as you begin your wellness journey.

About Ian Kershaw

Ian Kershaw has been helping people find greater calm and wellbeing since 2012. He is a qualified sound bath leader, meditation and mindfulness teacher, Advanced Breathwork Instructor and Forest Bathing Guide. Through The Tranquil Mind, Ian creates welcoming, accessible sessions for individuals and groups, bringing together sound, breath, mindful awareness and nature in thoughtful ways. Each session is adapted to what people need, whether that is a chance to slow down, quieten a busy mind, release tension or simply take a restorative break from everyday life.

A note from Jen

Hi, I’m Jen, a yoga teacher and founder of Serenity Yoga with Jen. My passion is helping people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience the incredible benefits that yoga can have on both the body and nervous system.

My sessions focus on gentle, accessible movement to help you build strength and enhance flexibility, whilst also promoting relaxation and nervous system regulation.

I can’t wait to meet you and introduce you to the beauty of yoga!

No previous experience is needed – just come as you are. Ian’s aim is to offer practical, enjoyable ways to support wellbeing and cope more easily with the pressures of modern life. You will usually leave any session with Ian feeling calmer, more grounded and a little lighter than when you arrived.

£25. Monday 18 January, arrive from 10 for a 10.30am start. Ends at 12.30pm. The Art Gallery & Museum is closed to the public on Mondays, providing a quiet and private experience. Please note the café will also be closed on this day.
