Curator’s Talk: Costume Collection at the County Museum

Our curator takes you through the County Museum’s extensive and fascinating collection of costume, spanning the mid 18th century right up to the present day. This collection is a hidden gem and a true treasure trove of social history.

Please be aware that the stores are located up two flights of stairs and, due to the nature of the stores, spaces are limited.

Curators’ Talks at the County Museum run for at least an hour.

This talk celebrates the Fashioning Peace exhibition. Part of the Worcestershire World War One Hundred programme, this temporary exhibition at Worcestershire County Museum explores how the changes brought about through the Great War 1914-18 were reflected in clothing and fashion from 1918 through to the roaring twenties.

Read more about the exhibition here.

Talks can be booked by calling 01299 250416.
