Murder Mystery – Die de Die!

The year is 1958 and visitors find themselves at ‘Nutkins Holiday Camp, Commandery-on-Sea’.  Founder and owner, Nobby Nutkins is visiting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its opening.  The Camp’s host, Fred Hovis, will be inviting guests to join in the entertainment. And this time it won’t just be Mr. Punch who falls foul of the law!

The main event takes place inside the magnificent medieval Great Hall of The Commandery. The evening includes a traditional holiday camp meal of fish & chips, followed by ice cream, and guests are encouraged to dress in 1950s costume and really get into the spirit of the evening, whether that’s with frilly petticoats, knobbly knees or Teddy boy hair styles. The murder happens before guests have even settled down to eat, and in between courses the cast perform more scenes revealing details and clues as the night progresses.

Guests also get an opportunity to question the various suspects before deciding ‘who dunnit’ and why, and there is a prize for the most accurate guess.

Doors open 6.30pm for 7pm.

Info for attendees: On arrival please make your way to The Great Hall through the gate at the main entrance on Sidbury. The gate will open at 6.30pm with the main event starting at 7pm (when the gate will be closed), over the course of the evening you will be served a two course meal ‘1950s holiday camp style’ – fish & chips and ice cream!

Throughout the evening details of the story will be revealed and the suspects will be available for questioning, you will have until 9.30 to try to work out ‘who dunnit’ before the murderer is finally revealed! Soft drinks, wine, beer, cider and a small selection of spirits will be available to purchase throughout the evening (cash only), last orders at the bar will be 10.30pm and we will be closing at 11pm.
