There’s roarsome fun this May Bank Holiday weekend when Hartlebury Castle encourages its visitors to discover dragons at the historic site.

On Bank Holiday Monday 27 May visitors can hear modern and traditional tales of dragons with the Puppet Tree storytellers, follow the dragon trail around the Castle and enjoy dragon-themed craft activity such as making a dragon puppet or hatching their own dragon egg.

Visitors can have a go at archery, have their faces painted and enjoy outdoor traditional garden games of quoits, noughts and crosses and four in a row in the Orchard picnic area. They are welcome to come dressed up as dragons, knights or princesses or even delve into the Museum’s fancy dress chest, including friendly dragon costumes.

The dragon trail and craft activities continue throughout the week Tuesday – Friday 28 – 31 May.

As well as enjoying Bank Holiday Fun there’s a full day of discovery for visitors who can explore the new developments at Hartlebury Castle including marveling at talking portraits, promenade the Long Gallery and follow in the footsteps of royalty as they stroll around the moat on a new walk revealing the grounds for the very first time.
