Skyscape Exhibition

29 January – 26 March 2022

Featuring the beautiful, the brooding and the serene, Skyscape celebrates five hundred years of artists’ fascination with the sky.

The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view the popular art of landscape from a new perspective, through a succession of masterpieces by artists including Turner, Constable, Rembrandt, Dürer, Paul Nash and many more.

Escape the winter cold to enjoy blue skies and majestic sunsets, as we explore the sky and its representations in art as a symbol of the divine, a scientific subject, or a vehicle for emotional expression.

Skyscape showcases over thirty objects from the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford.

Exhibition Organised by the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford.
