DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 18th May – Thursday 17th June (excluding Mondays)\nTo celebrate their 10th anniversary The British Wildlife Photography Awards has a brand-new touring exhibition, coming to The Commandery in May.\nThe competition has captured the imagination of photographers from all over the UK over the past decade and we are lucky enough to be able to exhibit these beautiful award-winning photographs in the glorious surroundings of The Commandery gardens.\nFrom Tuesday 18th May, visitors will be able to view the exhibition as part of their visit to The Commandery. This prestigious exhibition will allow visitors to get up close and personal with all creatures great and small, from dancing grebes to gelatinous jellyfish, through a series of stunning, once-in-a-lifetime photographic captures.\nThe main exhibition will be outside in the wonderful surrounding of The Commandery’s gardens and a digital exhibition will be inside the museum.\nThe awards were created to celebrate the talents of both amateur and professional photographers, while simultaneously highlighting the great wealth and diversity of British natural history, raising awareness about British biodiversity, species and habitats, encouraging all ages to discover, explore and help conserve our natural heritage.\nThis is a free exhibition, included in the Museum entrance fee.\nMore information about the awards and the exhibition can be found on the British Wildlife Photography Awards website ( https://www.bwpawards.org/ ).\nImage: Great Crested Grebe Courtship (detail) photo by Andy Rouse for the British Wildlife Photography Awards www.bwpawards.org ( http://www.bwpawards.org/ )\n
