DESCRIPTION:Summer holiday booking slots\nThe Titanic exhibition is very popular. For those who would like to visit the Art Gallery & Museum at quieter times we are offering booking slots for morning visits (10.30am – 12pm) when numbers in the Art Gallery will be limited. There is a £2 booking fee per ticket.\nFrom 12.30pm onwards we welcome drop-in visitors with no booking needed.  Entry to the Art Gallery & Museum is free. There may be queues at busiest times.\nClick here to book your morning tickets through Art Tickets\nIf you wish to visit the Museum Shop only you do not need to book.\nIf you are attending the drop-in Wednesday workshops (family activities, £4 per person) 11am – 1pm you do not need to book onto a time slot. Please make yourself known to the member of the team at the entrance to the building and they will direct you straight to the activity space.\n\nMonday 17 May – Saturday 11  September\nIn this stunning exhibition Titanic: Honour & Glory, see unique artefacts from one of the largest collections of rare Titanic and White Star Line artefacts in the world, in addition to magnificent props and costumes from the 1997 James Cameron film, Titanic. Discover the story of Titanic through real artefacts and personal stories, experience the grandeur of transatlantic travel and step back into the gilded age as you view awe-inspiring examples of the ship’s luxurious interior fittings.\nVoted one of the top five exhibitions in the United Kingdom by The Times, Titanic: Honour & Glory will explore her story, and those of her sister ships and their owners, the White Star Line, as well as revealing the local links of some of its passengers.\nTitanic: Honour & Glory gathers together an unrivalled collection of genuine and rare artefacts from the Titanic and her sister ships.\nHighlights include:\n\nBeautiful china dinner plates upon which the first meals were served aboard Titanic\nA nameplate from one of Titanic’s lifeboats\nRare examples of in memoriam tributes made in the aftermath of the sinking, including Titanic relief fund cheques, which were given to support the families of those who were lost\nGlimpses of the liner’s sumptuous interior and the luxury passengers enjoyed aboard a White Star liner through rare examples from her sister ships, Olympic and Britannic\nA selection of props from the film Titanic including some of the dresses worn by Kate Winslet and the dazzling ‘heart of the ocean’ necklace.\n\nPlease note numbers are limited due to Covid safety guidance, so please bear with us if you need to queue for entry for a little while.\nFamilies!
