SUMMARY:A Walk in Time: Tour & Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Explore the city in a fun walk and workshop using photography, creative writing and drawing.\nArtist Andrew Howe will lead a gentle walk around Worcester identifying layers of history and noticing how the city is in continual process of change, decay and renewal.   Get up close to buildings to make texture rubbings or tracings of surfaces and signs, use water to make temporary graffiti and bring your camera or phone to take photographs, looking for beauty in overlooked details. Andrew will help you develop some photographic techniques.\nReturning to the Museum there will be a workshop to gather your findings into a fabulous giant collage celebrating the story of the city today.  We would love you to bring some of your own photographs of Worcester buildings and architectural details and share your memories in words for this collaborative artwork.\nSuitable for all (recommended age 7+, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)\nThis activity day is inspired by our newest exhibition, Living Ruins ( https://www.museumsworcestershire.org.uk/events/living-ruins/ ).\n£6.50 adults, £5 concessions and children\nBook in advance at the Art Gallery desk or call 01905 25371.\nImage: Ged Quinn, Bela Forgets the Scissors, 2016.
