Hartlebury Castle Development Project
Home to the Bishops of Worcester for over 1000 years, Hartlebury Castle will open as a major visitor attraction in April 2018, thanks to £5m awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to the Hartlebury Castle Preservation Trust. Visitors will have the chance to discover the lives of the Castle's residents through exciting and interactive galleries, tour the grand State Rooms and for the first time enjoy a walk around the grounds and gardens, before relaxing in the Castle’s new café.
The County Museum will be closed in January 2018 to enable completion of building works and essential preparations and staff training for the newly developed Hartlebury Castle site. The Museum will re-open to the public from Tuesday 30 January and the full Castle site will be opening at Easter.
